In the last decade, public health has evolved progressively with changes. Such metamorphosis was shaped by the many health crises that humankind has faced, a significant proportion of which were infections in origin. It is not surprising therefore that "Infectious disease" now occupies an important part of the curriculum for students in medical, paramedical and allied health professions. Public Health Infectious Disease has been designed as a handy manual for undergraduate and postgraduate students in public health, nursing as well as medical students going through public health training.
